Closure Update

Just before last Christmas, we reflected back on 2019 as a year of mixed fortunes and looked forward to a more positive 2020.

Not too far into the New Year, we find ourselves in a situation of unprecedented uncertainty. The Coronavirus pandemic is going to wreak a massive impact on the whole leisure and hospitality sector, including Jubilee Pool and, there is no visibility on how long that’s going to last.

As previously announced, we’ve had to take a decision to close down all our current activities and will now remain closed until we have clear advice that it is prudent and safe to re-open. Our plans to open over the next two bank holiday weekends with a launch of the new geothermal facilities around Whitsun are now on hold.

We are currently establishing our eligibility to access the financial support pledged by Government for small businesses and the hospitality sector. We hope that this will enable us to retain our core staff team who will be vital to ensure that, as soon as the time comes, we are ready and prepared to open.

The work to complete the capital project, including the power upgrade will carry on whilst Jubilee Pool is closed and the contractors have told us that they remain on target time-wise.

The Jubilee Pool team will continue to build for the future and we’re all looking forward to the day we can open the gates again!
