For your safety, we have strict adult to child supervision ratios in line with national guidance. Please bring enough adults per child when you visit to keep them safe:
Age | Supervision Level | |
---|---|---|
Under 4 | 1 adult: 1 child | (in the water) |
4-7 years | 1 adult: 2 children | (in the water) |
8-11 years | 1 adult: 4 children | (water/poolside) |
All children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible person of at least 16 years who is their parent/guardian.
Ratios will be proactively checked by our ticket kiosk staff and lifeguards on entrance and on poolside. Ratios remain unchanged during fun sessions or events.
Please be aware that in the winter months under 12’s are not permitted in the Geo Pool.
Photography is allowed at the Pool but not in the toilets, showers or changing areas. Please be mindful of others when taking photos and if you’re a professional photographer, permission must be sought from our ticket kiosk.
We would advise that you speak to your doctor before swimming if you have any conditions that may affect your swimming ability, or for those wanting to swim in our geothermal pool, your reaction to heat. Our main pool is filled with sea water which is usually just above external sea temperatures. Our geothermal pool is heated to 30-35 degrees.
In line with NHS guidance, we don’t permit pregnant women to bathe in the geothermal pool. Pregnancy does not affect admissions to the main pool.
If you suffer from epilepsy, then you should seek guidance from a doctor before swimming. If you have been seizure free for 1 year and your symptoms are controlled by medication, then we recommend swimming with a friend or someone aware of your condition. It would still be advised to seek advice from a doctor prior to swimming.
We will refuse entry if you appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you are on prescribed medication then you should consult your doctor before swimming.
Please see the detailed sign as you enter the pool: for safety we do not allow glass on the poolside, smoking on premises or swimwear or accessories that may restrict your ability to swim (facemasks, snorkels, flippers etc).
We ask you do not obstruct our terrace steps with bags or pushchairs so others do not trip and do not allow running, pushing/throwing bathers, ducking, bombing, breath-holding/ hyperventilation etc. We also only permit diving in designated areas which have sufficient water depths.
