We are run by the community for the community as social enterprise in the form of a charitable Community Benefit Society. We rely on the generous support of the community to keep the pool here for years to come through our ticket sales and income from our café and other products. Please buy a cup of tea when you visit or stay for lunch or dinner – all profits go back into the running of the pool.
Our lido is sizable and costly to maintain, the sea wall has to be inspected and repaired regularly and because we are next to the sea, we are often painting or repairing our building to preserve its amazing Grade 2 heritage.
We welcome donations from those who would like to support us. These can be made at our ticket kiosk or when you pay for your meal. We can also claim up to £25p per £1 donated through Gift Aid – just ask out staff for the form when you donate to us.
We have over 1400 community shareholders thanks to our successful Community Shareholder Offer in 2018 for the geothermal project.
Shareholders receive regular email communication updates. If you have a query about your share, want to change your contact details or let us know you have moved please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our first Shareholder Annual General Meeting will be held in September 2019. More details will be sent to shareholders over summer.
We are grateful for the support of our Business Community Shareholders and Donors who invested in the geothermal project.
We are incredibly proud to work with some great organisations who share our goals and stand for community health, wellbeing, innovation and heritage.
We aim to be open as usual over the weekend, however times may vary in the adverse weather. We will update this page with any further changes.
